Allons-y Pyrenees offer cycling holidays or
triathlon training in the Pyrenees suitable for all levels. Family holidays,
groups of friends, large club trips and teams, we can offer the perfect choice
for your trip.
You can choose from self catered or fully
catered accommodation, staying in one of our three properties based in the rural
hamlet of Thuy .
We have plenty of secure storage with a purpose
built bike store with racking and maintenance area and we have a selection of
bikes available to hire.
We can help you tailor your group's week to suit
your requirements, be it taking in as many famous Cols as possible during your
stay, exploring the foothills or maybe heading away from the mountains into the
beautiful (and flatter!) Gers region, or you might fancy having a go at one of
the local sportives.
If you fancy a testing week in the mountains,
why not try our
Classic Col Week, taking in many of the famous cols
including Col de Peyresourde and Luz Ardiden, or maybe try your legs on our
'Allons-y Pyrenees Challenge'
racing against the clock up the Col d'Aspin and the Col du Tourmalet?
We can even arrange for you to ride a stage of
this years Tour de France.
If it's
mountain biking
you're looking for, then the Pyrenees and the immediate area around the base at
Thuy offer an amazing choice of routes to try with some truly spectacular
scenery.
For all those cycling fans there is of course
one event that should not be missed - the Tour de France, which passes through
the area every year in July, with this Tour being no exception. The 2011 Tour
takes in the new climb of La Hourquette d'Ancizan, the Col Du Tourmalet, the
Soulor and the Col d'Aubisque, all within easy reach of our base. See our
Tour de France section
for more information.
With a great choice of
places to ride, this really is
the perfect base for a great cycling holiday all year round. Probably the
best time though to benefit from the quieter roads and cols is May, June,
September and October, although March and April can offer some great local
riding away from the high mountains in the winter sunshine.
