The Pyrenees offer some great skiing and snowboarding for all levels. If you enjoy fresh powder then many of these resorts offer good stretches of un-pisted areas that are great fun to explore. The slopes are quieter. Skiing is generally cheaper than most of the resorts in the Alps, but the snow is usually on a par - perhaps with a slightly shorter season.

There are many ski resorts within easy reach of Allons-y. The closest to our base in Thuy is La Mongie / Bareges, a linked resort forming the largest skiable area in the French Pyrenees.

St Lary, Piau Engaly, Peyragudes, Luz Ardiden and Cauterets can all be reached with a slightly longer drive, offering a wide range of varied skiing and snowboarding.
