L' ETAPE DU TOUR 2008.
We are ideally situated for this years Etape, not only to compete but for
training weeks before the event.
Taking place on Sunday July 6th.
We can pick you up from the airport, take you to the registration & start in Pau
and pick you up in Hautacam, both of which are approx 45mins away.
370 euros for 4 nights catered

Why not come and spend a week late spring to get familiar with the Pyrenees and
try some of the lower cols to get those legs ready.

Itinerary.
(This is only a guide, it can be tailored to your requirements)
Day 1
Transfers from airport, set up your bike and take a ride out from our
base at Thuy. Chill out and enjoy the Views!
Day 2
We will drive out to Lourdes where we will drop you off. From there you will
follow the race route through Bagneres and up over the Tourmalet. After that you
will continue to the race days finish at Hautacam then descend and back into
Lourdes where we will pick you up. ( approx 128km)
Day 3
Ride out from our base at Thuy today and take in some of the fantastic scenery
in the foothills and if your legs feel up to it you can ride the Col de
Peyresourde or Pla d'Adet.
Day 4
A bit of competition today. Ride the Allons-y Challenge.
Starting in Arreau,
climb the Col d'Apsin followed by the mighty Col du Tourmalet.
This is
against the clock!!! (see the Allons-y Challenge page for more info)
Day 5
Transfers back to airports.
If you want to extend your
stay, this can be arranged at an extra 65 euros per day.
We also offer 'long weekend packages' throughout the year.

TOUR
DE FRANCE 2008.
Every
year the Tour de France passes through the area.
The
2008 tour starts on July 5th in Brest, Bretagne and works its way through
France, and visiting the Pyrenees and the our Haute Pyrenees region between July
13th to 16th then off towards the Alps and finishing on Sunday 27th in Paris.
If
you have never experienced a stage of the Tour de France then it's really worth
a visit. The whole event is massive and the atmosphere on a mountain top finish
is unbeatable.
The
stages which can be easily reached from "Allons-y" are:
For
the 95th edition of the Tour de France "Allons-y" are organising a cycle week to
include watching stages 9,10 and 11.
We
are in an ideal place to watch all three, Bagneres de Bigorre and
Lannemezan are only approx 20-25 mins drive away.

There are two options available.
Option 1 - Self-catering

the Aspin,Tourmalet or Aubisque.

Sat 12th July
Arrival at Thuy
Sunday 13th
Ride out from the house to watch Stage 10 go over final climb of the day,
the Col d'Apsin or we can drop you off at a suitable spot a bit closer if you
don't fancy too much cycling.
Monday 14th
Watch stage 11 either on the Tourmalet by riding from the house or watch the
stage finish at Hautacam, we can arrange drop off points to cycle up to the
finish.
Tuesday 15th
Rest day for the Tour today so why not chill out at Thuy and choose a ride from
our selection of route cards.
Wednesday 16th
Watch the start of Stage 11 from Lannemezan. This can be a great way to see the
riders close up.
Thursday 17th
Chill out at Thuy!
Friday 18th
Why not try the Allons-y Challenge today. or you can pick another col you fancy
trying a bit further a field and get full vehicle support.
Sat 19th
Depart.
