Cycling Tours and Training
We can tailor your week's cycling according to how much of a challenge you want.
You let us know how far you want to ride each day and if there are climbs that you want to incorporate, and we will organize the routes for you.
A standard Allons-y Pyrenees 'Classic Cycle training week' includes at least 2 supported days in the mountains, one with the minibus and two with a guide. Choose from a range of Grand Cols in the area - see Where to Ride.

Also this year we are ideally situated to watch stage 14 of the Vuelta d'Espana. Its enters France on the 3rd September and finishes on the Col d'Aubisque.

'Extreme Cols week' 599€ per person
A testing week in the saddle taking in some of the Pyrenees classic cols
including the 'Circle of Death' (Col d'Aubisque, Soulor, Col du Tourmalet, Aspin
and Col de Peyresourde) in one day!
'Stages' week 599€ per person
Ever wanted to ride over the same routes as the pros on the Tour de France? This week will allow you to do just that with the chance to ride 4 stages of the Tour.
Routes taken from 2011, 2012 and 2014 Tours.
'Leg buster weekend' 425€ per person
A really tough leg burning weekend, tackling the mighty col du Tourmalet twice, Hautacam, Apsin, Peyresourde and Luz Ardiden. 3 days riding.

This long weekend takes in two Tour de France stages, perfect for those wanting a challenge but bit pressed for time.
3 days riding.
The above packages all include accommodation in our properties at 'Allons-y Pyrenees', airport transfers, buffet style breakfasts, three course evening meals, vehicle support for the big rides or a guide, daily ride card, full use of facilities onsite including endless pool, bike storage.
'Leg Buster weekend' itinerary.
Day 1 ~ Ride from the house at Thuy through the Baronnies and up the Col du Tourmalet 2115m from the east side, down into the valley then finish at Luz Ardiden 1715m. Distance approx 110kms
Day 2 ~ Local ride through the Baronnies, option of adding the Hourquette to the ride.
Day 3 ~ Tackle the legendary 'circle of death' today. Aubisque 1709m , Soulor 1474m, Tourmalet 2115m, Aspin1489m and finishing on the col de Peyresourde 1569m. Distance approx 144kms starting at Larins. 5151m of climbing!
Day 1 ~ Stage 17 of this years 2014 Tour de france. approx 90kms ride, 3723m of climbing starting at Saint Bertrand de Commings and finishing at Pla d'Adet. Col du Portillion 1293m (8.3kms) 7.1% average gradient., Col du Peyresourde 1569m (13.2kms) 7% average, Col du Val Louron-Azet 1580m (7.4kms) 8.3% av, Saint Lary Soulan Pla d'Adet 1680m 10.2kms 8.3% average.
Day 2 ~ local ride through the Baronnies.
Day 3 ~ Stage 17 of the 2010 Tour de France, the 'Queen' stage. approx 127kms, 4323m climbing. Starting just outside of Pau, climb the Col de Marie Blanque 1034m (10kms), Col du Soulor 1474m (7.4kms) and finish on the Col du Tourmalet 2115m (17.1kms)
Stage 17 of the 2014 Tour and Stage 17 of the 2010 Tour as above , plus the massive stage 16 from the 2012 Tour. approx 144kms ride, 5100m climbing. Col d'Aubisque 1709m, Col du Soulor 1474m, Col du Tourmalet 2115m, Col d'Aspin 1489m and finishing on the Col de Peyresourde 1569m.
Stage 12 of the 2011 Tour. 100kms ride, 3691m climbing. Slightly shorter starting in La Barte de Neste, up through the trees of the Hourquette d'Ancizan 1539m, (2011 was the first time this was included in the Tour), over the mighty Col du Tourmalet 2115m and then finishing at the ski station of Luz Ardiden 1715m.
This week includes four 'stages' of the Tour de France and will be broken up with local rides to stretch the legs, the distance can be chosen according to how the legs are feeling!
'Extreme Cols week'
Day 1 ~ Local ride into the Baronnies and test the legs on the Col de Palomieres 828m.
Day 2 ~ 'circle of death' today. Aubisque 1709m , Soulor 1474m, Tourmalet 2115m,
Aspin1489m and finishing on the col de Peyresourde 1569m.
Day 3 ~ 98kms ride starting in Lourdes, 3750m of climbing. starting with the Cote de Loucrup, Col du Tourmalet 2115m and finishing with the beast that is Hautacam 1520m.
Day 4 ~ A rest day!
Day 5 ~ 95kms ride starting in Saint Bertrand de Comminges. Tackle the Port de Bales 1755m, Col du Peyresourde 1569m, Col du Azet 1580m and finish at Pla d'Adet 1680m.
Day 6 ~ 137kms 2629m Starting from base at Thuy, do the loop round up the Col d'Aspin 1489m and descent down to Arreau and then finally tackle the Hourquette d'Ancizan 1539m. We can make this a shorter day if needed just climbing the Aspin or the Hourquette.
Day 7 ~ Depart (if your legs can manage the stairs onto the plane!)
